Bellway sponsors kits for Euxton Girls FC

Housebuilder Bellway has committed its support to Euxton Girls Football Club by providing first team kits to the U18s for the upcoming new season. 

With its beautiful Euxton Heights development taking shape on Euxton Lane, not far from the club’s training ground at Greenside Playing Fields, Bellway was keen to support the girls at grassroots level within the local community.

Starting with one team of just 12 girls in 2002, Euxton Girls was established by Dennis Winn to allow his granddaughter to play football. Over the last 20 years, the Club has grown and now comprises 18 teams across all age groups, from the entry level four-year-old Wildcats to experienced adult and open age players.

Pledging its support to Euxton Girls, Bellway is delighted to sponsor the kits for the U18s; a successful team of 15 and 16-year-old girls, all of whom live locally and who most recently finished fourth in the East Lancashire League after a great end to the season against some tough competition.

Meeting twice a week, once to train and once for a competitive match, the girls will start the forthcoming season in their new kits which feature the Bellway logo on a bright pink shirt with black shorts and socks.

Sales director at Bellway, Grace Yarlett, said: “When we heard about this fantastic girls’ team located not far from Euxton Heights we jumped at the chance to get involved and sponsor the shirts. We’re excited to be part of the journey with Euxton Girls this year and wish them all the very best for the forthcoming season – we’ll be cheering them on from over the road at Euxton Heights.”

Manager Michael Taylor, who has spent a decade coaching at the Club, added: “It is fantastic to have this support from Bellway. The kits have huge stand out, giving the team its own identity for the new season and I know that the girls are really pleased with them.”
