Leading residential developer Bellway has been confirmed as one of the sponsors of this year’s Horwich Carnival which takes place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June.

The hugely popular event takes place close to Barton Quarter, Bellway’s highly sought after development of three and four bedroom new build homes on Chorley New Road, making the housebuilder an obvious partner for this year’s event.

Taking place over two days, Horwich Carnival is a key date in the local calendar and one that is supported and enjoyed by the entire community.

There is a packed programme comprising the popular and well attended annual parade, musical and dance performances, baby shows and best dressed competitions along with market stalls, food and refreshments to provide a fun-filled and entertaining weekend for all the family.

An annual highlight of the carnival is the crowning of Horwich’s new carnival queen, junior queen, princess, junior princess, rosebud and petal which takes place on the Saturday at midday.

Vice chairman of the carnival, Andrea Allott, said: “We are delighted to welcome Bellway on board as a sponsor for this year’s event.  Without sponsors, the carnival could not take place and we are hugely grateful to them for their support.  It is promising to be a great day full of fun for all the family. We have our fingers crossed for better weather!”

Sales director at Bellway, Hollie Reynolds, added: “We are always happy to support worthy causes in the areas where we build and have been warmly welcomed in Horwich which is a great town with friendly residents and a thriving community scene.  We are also looking forward to the carnival and it was a pleasure to have the reigning carnival queen join us at Barton Quarter before she passes on her crown.”

Located on Chorley New Road, Barton Quarter is a beautiful development of high quality three and four bedroom new build homes in Horwich that forms part of the stunning Rivington Chase regeneration project and is well located for commuting across the North West.

Prices start from £194,995.  For further information, please contact the sales centre on 01204 775656 (open five days a week from 10am until 5pm on Monday and Friday, 10am until 7pm on Thursday, and 11am until 5pm on Saturday and Sunday) or visit www.bellway.co.uk.
