Armitstead Barnett welcomes Andrew Holmes BSc (Hons) Dip Surv MRICS MNAEA as the new head of residential sales for Cumbria.

Andrew is local to the area and has been working in the property industry in Cumbria all his career.  He brings with him a wealth of knowledge gained over 22 years. In 2004 Andrew was elected as a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and in 2017 was elected a member of The National Association of Estate Agents.

Responsibilities include the sale of all types of residential property, specialising in individual, period and country house sales throughout the Lake District National Park and part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, meeting the boundaries with our North Lancashire Office.

Andrew will also undertake marketing proposals and provide advice on the disposal and acquisition of all types of country houses, cottages and rural property including farms, barns, land and development projects.

His approach to work is one of preparation, accompanied by being thoughtful, sensible and polite to provide clients with the highest professional standards, honesty, integrity along with the best customer service.

Outside of work Andrew is a keen fly fisherman for both trout and salmon and enjoys mountaineering in the Lake District, Snowdonia and the Scottish Highlands where both passions can be combined. A keen sportsman, Andrew is a member of his local cricket club, Cartmel, where he is an all-rounder. During the winter season Andrew enjoys skiing at the Glenshee and Nevis resorts.

Hannah Towers, agency partner at Armitstead Barnett says: “We are excited to appoint Andrew and warmly welcome him to the team. His years of expertise in the sale of both higher end property and land will further strengthen the team at our Cumbria Office in Kendal.

"Being a Chartered Surveyor specialising in Agency is rare, yet a perfect fit for our firm. Andrew exudes Armitstead Barnett values and we very much look forward to him working with the team.”

Speaking of his appointment with the firm, Andrew says: “I am delighted to be joining such a well-respected firm with traditional values and a forward-thinking approach and I am looking forward to providing a truly tailored, professional service to our clients."

Andrew can be contacted at our Cumbria Office.
