Anderton Gables boss joins dilapidations steering group

Jonathan Shaw, managing director of Anderton Gables, has joined a national dilapidations steering group, becoming the only representative from the North West.

Jonathan Shaw Anderton GablesJonathan, who founded the Preston-based property and construction consultancy in 2007, has more than 25 years of experience working in the property industry.

He is one of nine members of the RICS Dilapidations Forum Steering Group, which is made up of surveyors and lawyers.

He said: “Having been involved in a number of high profile and complex dilapidations cases over the years, including one that recently went to trial, I was keen to be part of this group.

"I am very honoured to have been given the opportunity to be part of this important steering group that will play a pivotal role in influencing the way in which future dilapidations claims are dealt with.”

The group meets four times a year at the RICS headquarters in London and organises the annual conference in September in London, which offers technical and practical advice on dilapidations disputes. Anderton Gables is an independent property consultancy with offices in Preston, Manchester and most recently, Sheffield employing more than 20 people.
