In the field of cinematic sound, AMS Neve provides global excellence, providing state-of-the-art equipment that has helped craft some of the film industry's most celebrated scores.

This year, their equipment played a pivotal role in achieving the prestigious Best Sound award at the 97th Academy Awards for Dune: Part Two.

Created by the renowned German composer Hans Zimmer, who also scored the acclaimed Dune (2021) that won the Oscar for Best Original Score in 2022, the soundtrack for Dune: Part Two was born from the creative synergy at London's legendary Air Studios.

Founded in 1969 by the iconic Sir George Martin, this extraordinary venue is located in a converted Victorian church and features the magnificent hexagonal Lyndhurst Hall—perfectly designed for capturing the rich sounds of both orchestra and chorus simultaneously.

At the heart of this sonic masterpiece lies the AMS Neve Neve 96-channel 88R console, meticulously crafted in Burnley.

Renowned for its exceptional audio bandwidth, dynamic range, and unrivaled clarity, this console was instrumental in bringing Zimmer's visionary score to life.

Alongside Dune: Part Two, you can also hear the AMS Neve sound on Academy Award contenders The Wild Robot, A Complete Unknown, Conclave and Wicked.

Matthew Turner, commercial manager at AMS Neve, said: "The Oscar ceremony never fails to captivate us at AMS Neve. Over the years, we've proudly supported many past winners.

"The Best Sound category holds a special place in our hearts, so it's incredibly rewarding to see Dune: Part Two honoured with this accolade, knowing it was recorded in the legendary Air Studios."

"Every year, our equipment supports leading films, and watching them receive the industry's highest honours, especially in sound, reaffirms our commitment to creating the finest audio technology in the world right here in Burnley!"

With each note and every sound expertly captured, AMS Neve continues to set the stage for cinematic brilliance. Congratulations to the entire team behind Dune: Part Two on this monumental achievement!

All AMS Neve products are designed and manufactured in Burnley, and 85 per cent are exported to more than 100 countries worldwide. You can see more about AMS Neve here: www.ams-neve.com and you can see the full list of Academy® Award winners here: www.oscars.org/oscars/ceremonies/2025
