AMS Neve, the Burnley-headquartered, industry-leading designers and suppliers of professional audio equipment to the world’s top studios, remain at the forefront of innovation and industry development with the launch of four new award-winning products in 2020.

They were able to successfully launch four new products in just one year, with huge demand created by producers and musicians purchasing equipment to use at home, due to closures of commercial studios worldwide.

Many famous household names use AMS Neve products at home, including Snoop Dogg, Calvin Harris, Johnny Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Stephen Morris (New Order), Gary Barlow, Ed O'Brien (Radiohead), Johnny Marr (The Smiths), and each piece of kit was manufactured in Burnley.

These new products are taking the industry by storm. AMS Neve have been awarded five major pro audio industry awards, just for these products released within the last 12 months. Recognition from professionals in the industry now includes two prestigious TEC awards, two awards from Sound on Sound magazine and an award from Resolution magazine.

The Neve® 8424 console, which was launched in June 2020, won Sound on Sound’s award for Best Mixer/Mixing Controller. For Sound on Sound, the 8424 was a winner because it delivers accessibility, power and connectivity, as well as innovative and contemporary design.

AMS Neve’s new trophies also include two for the Neve 1073OPX, which won the Microphone Preamp category at both the TEC and Sound on Sound awards. Another AMS Neve winner at the 36th annual TEC Awards was the AMS RMX16 500, a Digital Reverberation System. The unit is also the recipient of a 2020 Resolution Award in the Processing category.

“Winning any award is a source of pride, but to receive five in the space of a few weeks – and all from such prestigious organisations – is a really great honour,” says AMS Neve’s managing director Mark Crabtree. “It has certainly been a fantastic start to 2021 and we intend to deliver many more successful products in the future.”

He added, “Oscar™ season has traditionally been kind to us, and last year our products were used to perfect the sound on Academy® Award winners ‘Parasite’ which won Best Picture, Disney Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 4’, which took home Best Animated Film, ‘1917’, which won an Oscar for Sound Mixing, and ‘Rocketman’, with the Oscar for Best Original Song. In 2021 we’ll have to wait till April 25th to see how we fare!”
