A leading UK business broker is working with a Fylde based cricket organisation to champion their Cricket for Life programme.
Hosting a wide range of activities, the Cricket for Life concept includes opportunities for the youngest via their Cubs group – through to the less mobile who can take part in the Walking Cricket programme for participants of any age and any level of cricketing experience.
Lancashire based Altius is sponsoring both programmes with Walking Cricket continuing at Thornton, The Harbour Blackpool, Garstang and Darwen. The Cricket Cubs programme takes place at Weeton.
Co-owner of Fylde Coast Cricket Coaching, Bobby Denning, said: “We have varied initiatives running across Lancashire. Our aim is to provide high-quality cricket coaching throughout the year and give access for as many people as possible to enjoy the game at different levels.
“Fylde Coast Cricket Cubs was created for four to eight year olds to experience cricket in a nurturing environment where they can get active, learn new skills and have fun! For those who want to keep on the move but at a slower pace, our Walking Cricket is an enjoyable, welcoming group. We’re delighted to have Altius on board as sponsors of these programmes which provide fun experiences across the ages.”
Teresa Deeney, head of marketing at Altius Group said: “Altius Group is committed to supporting initiatives that have a positive impact on the lives of people within our local communities. So, we are delighted to give our support to Fylde Coast cricket clubs and Walking Cricket – both groups offer a fun, welcoming environment across age groups. Bobby and his team have plans to expand these initiatives which just shows the popularity of the Cricket for Life concept. We hope with our support to see the groups grow further.”
