Accrington Stanley will hold a special memorial service at the Wham Stadium on Remembrance Sunday, inviting fans, the local community and club sponsors to come together to honour and remember those who have served.
The service will take place at the club’s Accrington Pals Memorial Garden at 12:45pm and will be led by Accrington Stanley Chaplain, Mrs Debra Phillips, with organisation support from the Official Accrington Stanley Supporters Trust (OASST).
Local business leaders and club sponsors are invited to take part by laying a wreath, with the club encouraging anyone wishing to be involved to contact commercial manager Jodie Hargreaves at [email protected] by 12pm on Friday 31st October.
Debra Phillips, Accrington Stanley chaplain, said: "It is always a very special time to come together as a club, to remember and reflect. Remembrance Sunday allows us to honour those who gave so much, and it’s wonderful to see our supporters and local community joining us in this moment of reflection."
Accrington Stanley CEO, Warren Eastham, said: "We are delighted to invite our sponsors and local business leaders to be part of this meaningful service. It’s an opportunity for everyone connected with the club to pay their respects and join in a shared moment of remembrance."
The memorial service at Wham Stadium is open to all fans and members of the public, and the club warmly encourages everyone to attend.
