Accrington Stanley are giving supporters the opportunity to bid for six exclusive shirts that were never worn by the first team squad in the club’s promotion winning 2017-18 season.

Ahead of that memorable campaign, major kit sponsor Adidas presented Stanley with a variety of designs and now six of those shirt designs, which were never seen or worn, are up for auction. They are size medium.

Bids can be made between now and Thursday 5th December at 12:30pm.

The winning bidders will also have the option to get their shirts signed by club owner Andy Holt and managing director, David Burgess, both of whom ran the club throughout the promotion winning campaign.

Alongside those six shirts, Accrington Stanley are also giving fans the chance to bid for one of the shirts which was worn when the club played French giants Marseille at the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford for a friendly in July 2019 (size small).

The shirts were specially made for players to commemorate the prestigious match, a game which saw Stanley run out 2-1 winners, with goals from Offrande Zanzala and Sean McConville.

Those wanting to get their hands on a piece of Stanley history can bid in the auction via eBay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/accringtonstanley1968

Stanley's commercial director, Warren Eastham, said: "This is a really unique and special opportunity for our supporters and we are expecting a lot of interested bidders, who will be desperate to get their hands on a piece of Accrington Stanley history.

“These shirts are all fantastic in their own right, and are a big part of our story as a club.

“We would encourage anyone who is interested to keep a close eye on the live auction and make sure they get their bids in to avoid disappointment. Once they’ve gone, they’ve gone!”
