Former Olympian Roger Black will address some of the region’s most outstanding businesses at the 2012 Accountancy and Business Awards later this year.
The black tie dinner, organised by North West Society of Chartered Accountants (NWSCA), takes place at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool on Thursday, November 22.
Awards up for grabs include: Accountancy Rising Star (in industry), sponsored by AFR Consulting;
Accountancy Rising Star (in practice), sponsored by Norwest Recruit; Accountancy Firm of the
Year, sponsored by Taylor Patterson; and the RBS Business of the Year.
This year will also see the introduction of two brand new award categories which are: International
Business of the Year, sponsored by Napthens Solicitors; and Finance Director of the Year.
Les Nutter, president of the North West Society of Chartered Accountants and managing partner at Cassons Chartered Accountants, said: “This year we’re determined to pull out all of the stops to make this awards ceremony one to remember. Celebrating success is hugely important and this year we’re delighted to have a former Olympian share his success story with us.
“As an ambassador for the awards, and a former winner, I know how highly coveted these accolades are and would urge as many businesses as possible to take part.”
