160-home Lancashire development sells out in three years

Homebuilder Miller Homes is today announcing the success of its Warton-based development, Blackfield Green.

The development, which launched in early 2019, has brought 160 new homes to the wider Fylde area. The homes, which include a variety of three, four and five bedroomed styles, all include open-plan layouts with extra space for remote working. 

As of June 2022, the development is now reported as sold out, with final occupations taking place this year. 

The home builder has reported findings that 38 per cent of its sales come from first-time buyers. Blackfield Green, thanks to its semi-rural location, not far from the seaside, has proven to be popular among those who have been able to relocate following increased opportunities to work remotely.

Since building in the area, Miller Homes has contributed in abundance to the local community. Most recently, the homebuilder worked with local businesses in the region to collect easter eggs for Variety North West, a charity that supports disadvantaged children. Miller Homes has also contributed over half a million pounds to the local area as part of its planning agreement. Nearly £400,000 was given to support primary education in the region, and £117,000 for travel plans.
