110 jobs saved as engineers bought

A group of Lancashire engineering firms has been rescued from administration, saving 110 jobs.

pneumatrolOpus Metrology was acquired by Northamptonshire-based Thomas Salvesen Enterprises, whilst Davis Pneumatic Systems, RGS Davis and RGS Plus have been acquired by Oswaldtwistle-based Pneumatrol.

Entrepreneur Thomas Salvesen is the owner of both Thomas Salvesen Enterprises and the newly formed Pneumatrol.

BDO of Manchester was called in to handle the sale after the owners, Parmeko of Leicester, went into administration. Patrick Lannagan of BDO said: “We are pleased to announce the sale of the businesses, which has secured continued employment for 110 staff and continuity for customers and suppliers, as well as preserving two well established and highly regarded manufacturing operations.”
