We are delighted to invite you to the relaunch of The HR Exchange in association with Taylors Solicitors, a leading forum for HR Professionals, business owners and managers.

Back by popular demand The HR Exchange is celebrating its 10th year of bringing practical, informative, and invaluable employment law advice to local employers.

A combination of Brexit, Covid 19, the War in Ukraine and the energy crisis has meant that many businesses are having to change dramatically to survive.

At this event we will be considering three key strategic areas to support Employers through this period; namely, Redundancy, Restructure and Reward.

During this FREE session, we will explore how at a time when recruitment in key areas is challenging, getting people in the right places and keeping them motivated is a key priority.

We will also look at how businesses can adopt best practises when contemplating restructure and redundancy.

Redundancy and Restructure go hand in hand. It is inevitable that following a redundancy exercise, there will be a restructure and possibly vice versa. In making redundancies you need to be sure not to inadvertently loose those who you wish to retain (as these are commonly the most employable). Lines of reporting and ways of working frequently change. Employees need to be motivated, not unsettled and so follows the issue of reward, how to make remaining employees feel valued and “buy in to the change” and not be concerned that they will be next to be “let go”!

Our interactive and dynamic sessions will look at how businesses can best protect themselves and plan during these uncertain times.

After a short break, for refreshments and sharing of thoughts and experiences with fellow HR professionals there will be our ever-popular employment law update, to make sure that everyone is up to speed with current employment law issues.

Our guest speaker Lisa Sourbutts from Cube HR will then go through practical advice and tips to ensure employee engagement – essential after any period of change or upheaval in the workplace.
