Preston College Brings Industry and Education Together for Green Skills Summit 2026

Preston College is proud to announce the Green Skills Summit 2026, taking place on Friday 6 March 2026 from 9:30am to 1:00pm at the Brockholes Nature Reserve, Samlesbury, Preston.

The half-day, FREE event will bring together educators, employers, SMEs, and public sector partners from across the region to explore how green skills are being developed, applied, and scaled to meet Lancashire’s future workforce needs.

Building on the success of last year’s event, the 2026 Summit will focus on one of the UK’s most pressing challenges, developing the green workforce of the future. The event will showcase sustainable innovation, practical delivery, and collaboration across construction, the infrastructure supply chain, and the wider economy. Attendees will gain insights into emerging green technologies, retrofit solutions, waste management, circular economy initiatives, and career pathways in the green economy.

Key event highlights will include:

Talks from industry leaders, SMEs, and public sector experts

Showcase of sustainable practice and innovation across the region

Networking opportunities with educators, industry leaders, and local authorities

Practical insights into green skills development and future career pathways

The Green Skills Summit is open to all education providers, employers, and local authorities with an interest in developing green skills across the workforce. Registration includes access to all talks, networking sessions, coffee, and lunch.
