Ribby Hall Village splashes out £1.5m on new swim facilities

Five-star holiday destination Ribby Hall Village has unveiled its new family swimming pool, due to open this April.

The new tropical island-themed family pool comes complete with interactive water features, themed children’s splash zone, water slides, palm trees and real thatched feature Tiki Hut.

There is also a new adult-only heat experience area which will include a large new sauna, steam room and feature showers all of which will be open in time for Easter.

The main contractor is World Leisure a specialist design, technical and installation company. IMD & Associates have overseen the overall design concept which brings about the whole transformation including improvements to the shower facilities and refurbished disabled changing facilities alongside the introduction of a poolside hoist making access easier for all.

All of the pool plant has been replaced with a state of the art air and water heating system being installed as well as advanced filtration equipment including UV filtration to ensure perfect water quality for guests to enjoy.

The new pool is just the latest in a series of installations at Ribby Hall Village to improve the holiday experience. Last year The Village opened Wild Discovery a hands-on interactive animal attraction enabling children to get up close with the animal kingdom. The Activity Hub, installed in 2016 provides children with an activity centre with a soft play zone and a designated activity area where they can sign up for everything from art classes to ballet lessons.

Also opening in 2017 is a new outdoor play area in addition to The Village’s popular large outdoor Adventure Playground. The themed children’s play ship with slides and climbing frames for younger children will also open in time for Easter. Located by The Tapas Bar & Restaurant the play area will be easily accessible so children can enjoy safe play under the watchful eye of mum and dad from The Tapas Bar & Restaurants’ alfresco dining area.

Mark Partington, managing director of Ribby Hall Village said: “The new family pool is an exciting new addition to our facilities and the largest pool redevelopment in Ribby Hall Village history. "Swimming is a popular activity for families staying on The Village and we felt it was time to redevelop our existing family swimming pool. The new pool is bright, fresh and fun and certainly offers an exciting swimming experience for the whole family. The pool redevelopment has cost in excess of £1.5m. We continue to reinvest and everything we do is about improving the holiday experience."
