Year of growth for Preston performance psychology firm

Impossible to Inevitable (i2i) Ltd, a Preston-based performance psychology firm has marked an exponential year of growth after tripling the size of its workforce and achieving a significant increase in new client wins.

i2i, whose client base includes one of the world’s leading football clubs, Rolls-Royce PLC, British Airways and Royal Mail, works with individuals and teams and helps them to maximise their potential through adopting psychological strategies.

During the past twelve months i2i, which was founded in 2008 by CEO Michael Finnigan, has increased its work with elite sports people and also secured a number of high profile corporate accounts such as UBS, Betfred and Emirates.

In addition to employing a raft of new Associates, including Simon Clarkson and Martin Robert Hall, i2i has promoted two of its existing team – Tom Young becomes head of sport and Alison Wood, becomes company secretary.

Michael Finnigan said: “Performance and development strategies continue to play an ever increasing role in elite sports as organisations; clubs and coaches see the benefits of building strong teams via selection techniques and empowering individuals with a winning mentality to bring success on the field.

“Businesses are also seeing the benefits of applying these techniques as not only will an empowered, motivated workforce perform better, it is more likely to stay with the company, which will save money on recruitment costs. “Our clients report much happier and more fulfilling working environments which deliver a big impact on the bottom line. i2i has built an excellent reputation for achieving results and by extending our team and recognising the talent within it, we are able to deliver for more clients across both our sport and corporate divisions.”
