Working with data centres across the UK

At UVS we are immensely proud that during more than 15 years of operating, many clients have relied on us to install their first control room video wall solutions – and have been so impressed that they have continued to rely on us to provide upgrades and video wall technology for their other locations when required.

One example of this is a major operator of data centres, which runs multiple locations within the UK and worldwide. 

UVS was selected for the installation at one of the client’s London data centre sites in 2011 and installed a large LCD video wall and video wall controller. 

The video wall was subsequently expanded in 2012 and, based on the successful installation and stable operation, UVS was selected as video wall partner for two more UK data centre location installations in 2012 and 2013.

In both cases data centre Network Operation Centre (NOC) video walls were installed. 

The northern data centre installation of 2012 was fully upgraded with a complete new video wall solution by UVS in 2021, and a second new video wall was installed at the 2013 London site in 2018. This video wall, due to changes in the customer’s operational structure, was then relocated for installation to one of their overseas data centres by UVS.

The very first video wall installed by UVS at this client’s London site was maintained by UVS from 2011 until the end of 2021, when we carried out a complete video wall upgrade.      

All of these upgrades are important as they allow operational personnel to continue to have the benefits that the latest video wall technology brings, with new features and the latest operating systems that are fully supported.

They also ensure that all equipment can be fully maintained via extended warranties and annual support contracts, which can become difficult once installed equipment becomes obsolete.

Ultimately, they also demonstrate the faith that these clients have in UVS’ performance and levels of service provided.
