Wills Week raises £1,200 for Trinity Hospice

Fylde Coast solicitors, Alexander Grace Law, have raised £1,200 for Trinity Hospice through their Wills Week initiative.

Will instructions received by Alexander Grace Law between Monday, January 25th and Friday, January 29th, were carried out free of charge, with customers asked only for a donation to the hospice.

Jessica Turton, solicitor at AGL, said: “With the pandemic creating so many uncertainties for people, we wanted to do something to play our part in easing the burden.

“The subject of Wills can be a gloomy one for some, but once completed they provide real certainty and peace of mind.”

“It was with this in mind that we came up with the idea of a Wills Week, where people could contact us to have their Will prepared in return for a donation to Trinity Hospice. The Hospice does such wonderful work in supporting residents and their families and we really wanted to give something back.”

“We had already donated £3,000 over the festive period to pay for residents’ meals but we wanted to do more and were delighted with the amount raised.”

Lauren Codling, Individual Giving Fundraiser at Trinity Hopsice, said: “We were astonished by the donation Alexander Grace Law made over Christmas, so to receive news of another donation so soon afterwards really blew us away.

“Every penny of the £1,200 comes direct to Trinity and will be used to further enhance the outstanding, expert palliative and end-of-life care we provide to all who need it here within the Fylde Coast community.”

“Like many charities, we have been affected by the pandemic, and are facing a significant fundraising shortfall.

“Just as the community needs us, we need them, and they’ve shown that they’re willing to help. We can’t thank Alexander Grace Law enough for highlighting the importance of making a Will, while at the same time supporting what we at the Hospice do.”
