Why are deep tissue massage appointments only 30 minutes and not 60 minutes?

At Physiofusion, appointments across all of our in-clinic specialities are currently capped at 30 minutes. This is because our professional bodies have very strict guidance that has been based on Public Health England and UK.gov guidelines on best practice. Best practice is still to limit the amount of time in direct contact to limit ANY risk that we can.

This means that we are offering treatments packed into 30 minutes, wearing full PPE, asking you to wear a mask/face covering and have a very thorough cleaning process. Your health is our first concern which is why we do what we do…we choose the BEST option which isn’t always the easy option!

We appreciate that you may find 60-minute massages advertised elsewhere, however, we would rather be over cautious with the health and safety of our patients rather than take any unnecessary risks at this time. As frustrating as this may seem, especially if you’re perhaps used to a 60-minute deep tissue massage, we’re still extremely confident that our 30-minute sessions will more than satisfy your needs.

As this is something which is on-going, we will be reviewing and assessing the guidelines daily, so be sure to keep checking in! We’re all desperate to get back to some form of normality, but first and foremost, it’s important to us that you feel safe and comfortable in our clinics. We’re still more than capable of achieving your desired results during this time.
