What More UK appoints new manufacturing director

Housewares manufacturer What More UK has promoted Rob Walker to the position of director of manufacturing.

Rob joined the company in 2014 as manufacturing manager, and he has overseen major projects and changes in infrastructure. He is responsible for the machinery, moulds and skilled workers which produce What More UK's growing range of products.

Rob left school to work for a plastic mouldings company. He made the most of his time learning as much as he could about the materials, the processes, and the sector. After 17 years he's become an expert in his field through hard work and determination.

Rob said: "I'm lucky to work for What More. It's a top firm which takes care of its staff, its customers, and the wider community. As manufacturing director I hope to continue the success of this Great British manufacturing company."

Rob's promotion to the board of directors continues a company tradition, as all the directors have worked their way up into that position of responsibility from within the company. 

Tony Grimshaw, company director, added: "We're glad to have Rob working with us. He's proved himself over and over again, and he deserves the top job."
