We're entering a post-Covid world of opportunity

Who else feels like they’re emerging from a long, dark tunnel into a world of opportunity post-Covid? It can’t be just me!

Face-to-face meetings are back! I shook someone’s hand for the first time in 18 months the other day.

Of course, we’re not out of the woods yet.

I’ve had my vaccinations, am never far from my mask or hand sanitiser and still attend the occasional meeting online, too. At Burnley College, Covid health and safety is top of the agenda – for staff, learners and visitors alike.

But it feels like we’ve turned a corner.

Like most people in lockdown though, we certainly haven’t been standing still. We’ve used that time to plan, to innovate and toprovide the vital support that employers across all sectors have needed in terms of change management, diversification, forward planning and skills sharing.

Just like East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and Burnley Bondholders, to name but two, we’re opening our doors to face-to-face meetings for the first time in 18 months. We can’t wait to welcome you to the next HR Network and Engineering Advisory Board.
