We’re finalists in the North West Family Business Awards 2022

After being nominated for the Haulage & Logistics Company of the Year in the North West Family Business Awards back in January, we’re excited to announce that we’ve been listed as a finalist!

The North West Family Business Awards champion family businesses across the region, recognising their achievements and celebrating their successes in style!

“Fagan & Whalley began as a small, local, family-run operation almost 100 years ago, and has since grown to encompass a substantial UK-wide infrastructure with 340 employees,” says F&W business strategy director, Sam Fagan. “That being said, we have never lost touch with our roots, and the values that were set into place by the founders of the company all those years ago remain to be our guiding principles in how we run our operations today.

“We recognise that it is our incredible team that makes us who we are. As a family-run, people-centric business, our staff remain at the heart of everything we do, and valuing our people forms a core element of our philosophy. Family continues to play a huge role in things here at Fagan & Whalley; it guides our approach, informs our values, and over the years it has been evidenced in the way we recruit for our team, as we’ve been fortunate to welcome an increasing number of second-generation employees, who have all followed in their parents’ footsteps to become key members of the F&W family.

“We’re thrilled to be involved with the North West Family Business Awards, and we can’t wait to welcome the judges and celebrate with our fellow nominees.”

“We were inundated with some incredible entries and we have been burning the midnight oil to get through them as they came in right up to the wire,” says Sue Howorth, co-founder and director of the North West Family Business Awards. “The judges had some very difficult decisions to make, so the finalists should be extremely proud of themselves!”

The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony on Friday 13th May, held at The Rum Warehouse at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, and we’re excited to attend the event and celebrate amongst fellow North West-based family businesses!
