Water Services Manager Opportunity

As a growing, award-winning energy consultancy, Brownlow Utilities is looking for a strong candidate to head up our Water Services department based at our offices in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

The Role

Managing the portfolio of water services for Brownlow which includes procurement, bill audits, site assessments, water/wastewater review, contract support and reporting. Providing the highest level of customer service with a sales-minded attitude while developing lasting client relationships. Creating strong relationships with water suppliers to ensure efficient contract negotiation and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operation Director, key roles and responsibilities will be; Identify, understand and assess water bills to identify anomalies, variations and incorrect billing. Interpret the financial and operational impact of the error(s) Manage refund/rebate process efficiently to ensure a quick and satisfactory outcome for the client Liaise with current water suppliers to ensure a satisfactory resolution to any requests, issues or concerns Create strong partnerships with a portfolio of credible water procurement providers who can offer competitive, proven, professional levels of service. Confidently conduct an evaluation of a business’s existing water and sewerage infrastructures and charges. Produce a full detailed report outlining opportunities and potential savings. Effectively work with energy team members, Account Managers and advisors to ensure objectives, processes and sales goals are being carried out. Display extensive working knowledge of water industry standards, practices and laws ensuring that the water service department adheres to all regulations Offer exemplary customer service, taking care of any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally whilst looking for opportunities to upsell/cross sell company services. Perform all administrative tasks to support the role and strive to achieve a set of defined KPI’s. Maintain reports and worksheets to detail progress and communicate this regularly to Operations Director and the wider team.The Candidate A clear record of achievement and progression in either a leading consulting firm or in-house with a sector- relevant company or regulator. 5 years + industry experience Academically of A level standard or equivalent (preferable) Comprehensive knowledge of water deregulation, water auditing procedures, water bill validation, on-site water/waste water infrastructure. Management experience (preferable) Strong customer-facing skills and evidence of good customer service delivery Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Self-motivated, driven with the good organisational ability. Excellent IT skills and technically competentThe Company
