Walmsley Wilkinson embraces AI to enhance human-centric executive recruitment

In a rapidly evolving recruitment landscape, Walmsley Wilkinson Executive and Management Recruitment is embracing artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance its services while doubling down on the power of trusted human relationships.

While some in the recruitment industry fear that AI might replace their roles, others are so enthusiastic about automation that they risk losing the personal touch that makes great hiring possible.

Walmsley Wilkinson believes the future lies in using AI to support, not replace the qualities that set expert recruiters apart.

Taryn Wilkinson, co-founder, said: "We’ve seen both extremes.

“But for us, it’s not about choosing sides. It’s about making technology work with our values not against them.

"Nothing can replace the judgment, empathy, and trust we’ve built over years of relationships. But with AI, we can streamline our processes and deliver even more value.”

Co-founders Taryn Wilkinson and Linda Walmsley bring decades of experience in relationship-based executive recruitment.

By integrating AI tools into their workflow, they are increasing operational efficiency and uncovering deeper talent insights, whilst staying rooted in the firm’s core strength, Trust.

Linda said: "AI can mimic empathy and tone, but it can’t build real trust.

“Our clients come to us because we understand them, sometimes before they even articulate what they need. It’s our experience, knowledge, insight and real empathy that they value.”

Walmsley Wilkinson is currently using AI to support market mapping and competitor insights and time-saving admin such as scheduling and drafting communications, but  all decisions and all key conversations remain human-led.

Taryn added: "The real opportunity isn’t to replace what we do, it’s to reimagine how we do it.

"AI helps us cut through the noise so we can focus more deeply on what matters most: people, relationships, and long-term success.

"We’re on an AI learning curve and are just scratching the surface, but we are very open to the future possibilities of how artificial intelligence can further enhance our business.”

Walmsley Wilkinson Executive and Management Recruitment is a Lancashire based firm supporting leadership hiring across the UK and internationally.
