Voiteq expands into Germany with acquisition of SMILOG

Voiteq Ltd, the UK’s leading supplier of Voice-Directed Work solutions, has announced that it has acquired a majority stake in SMILOG GmbH, a highly experienced German voice provider specialising in the integration of voice, vision and mobile devices into SAP and other ERP systems.

The acquisition further supports Voiteq’s strategy of market expansion in Europe as well as North America, and comes on the back of record 2014 results from all Centriq Group subsidiaries. The German organisation will be known as Voiteq-SMILOG and will be part of Centriq Group.

Both companies already provide solutions based on Honeywell’s Vocollect Voice technology, the world’s leading solution for voice-directed work, with Voiteq having the world’s largest group of Honeywell Vocollect certified voice professionals. The acquisition strengthens the product portfolios of both businesses and further establishes Voiteq as one of the largest and most experienced voice providers in Europe.

David Stanhope, CEO of Voiteq, said: “We’re excited as Voiteq expands into Germany with the acquisition of SMILOG GmbH and to have them join the global Voiteq family. Their expertise and exceptional track record of delivering local and international projects aligns very well with the rest of Voiteq.

"SMILOG’s SAP mobile integration products complement our existing VoiceMan product suite, and enable us to offer the broadest range of proven voice and mobile device integration options to our customers. In addition, having a well-resourced office in Germany further enhances our ability to support our multi-national customers.”

Andrew Guske, managing director of SMILOG, said: “We were looking for a partner that could help us grow our business in Germany as well as in other countries, one who shared our focus on quality solutions and excellent customer service. “With the backing of Voiteq’s experienced team and access to their highly successful execution and connector solutions, we look forward to growing strongly in Germany and expanding the international sales of our SAP integration products”.
