Vision Support Services acquired by US firm

Blackburn-based textile supplier and distributor Vision Support Services is set to expand its presence in the USA following its acquisition by New York City-based WestPoint Home.

Vision supplies hotels and hospitality businesses including Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Accor, with key markets across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The firm, founded in 2005, also supplies retail division of John Lewis & Partners and the Ministry of Defence. Its global supply chain includes sourcing offices across India, China, Pakistan and Turkey.

US textile giant WestPoint Home supplies the fashion and home textiles to prominent retailers such as Ralph Lauren and JC Penney. The acquisition will give Vision opportunity to expand its footprint into North America.

Vision said that existing customers will not see changes in day-to-day operations following the deal.

Laurie Thomas, managing director, said: “This is a massive opportunity to grow with one of the world’s leading textile businesses and to make the combined business truly global in its supply and services.

The partnership is set to bring about an exciting time for Vision

"The partnership is set to bring about an exciting time for Vision, and our loyal customers, and it’s an opportunity for our dedicated employees across our entire network, from China to Ireland, to develop further.”
