Preston-headquartered Vincents Solicitors has appointed its first in-house recruitment lead as it prepares for the next phase of growth.
The firm has recruited Jack Wood, who brings three years of experience in legal and automotive recruitment.
Vincents has also launched a new business administration apprenticeship programme as part of its strategy to attract and develop talent to support long-term growth.
Phillip Gilmore, managing director at Vincents, said: “We have some of the best senior practitioners in their field and an exciting team of junior lawyers coming up behind them, learning from them, improving through professional training, and excelling in their own way.
“We want to continue to identify and attract the very best talent across each of our departments and geographic areas, and Jack’s role is key to helping achieve this.”
The news comes as Vincents has brought recruitment in house for the first time, demonstrating a clear focus on talent acquisition and development.
Jack Wood will work alongside HR lead Katie Elsworth and training principal Yasmine Dragan to provide new recruits with a clear training and development pathway within the business.
The firm is training up its own support staff, ensuring a strong succession plan for non-legal functions such as business development, accounts, human resources, and customer services roles across its seven offices.
Jack said: “We want to hear from people who want to work for us.
“We’re happy to build a team around someone who brings ambition and empathy to their work, who wants to benefit from being with a mid-size law firm with a big heart.
“It’s a place where staff work together, where personal development and giving back are part of the culture, and where your own efforts determine yours and the firm’s ongoing success.”
