Via acquires new trading arm

Social business, The Via Partnership has announced a new partnership with Citizen Connect Ltd (trading as Axia Interactive Media).

Citizen Connect Ltd is provides e-portfolios and web based solutions to manage professional development.

The partnership, based on Via holding majority shares, will see Yorkshire-based Citizen Connect boost its successful product portfolio to a wider audience, provide the opportunity for new developments and deliver the service customers already value.

The Via Partnership Ltd is successfully providing information, advice and guidance, training and CPD programmes across a range of specialist areas and is ideally placed to work with Citizen Connect to take the business to the next level in the UK and Ireland.

Citizen Connect managers Richard Etheridge and Chris Peat remain directors and shareholders whilst Via’s Chief Executive, Karen O'Donoghue, becomes the new chair of Citizen Connect Ltd and will appoint two further directors. Karen O’Donoghue said: “We are delighted to be working with Citizen Connect and in a very short space of time we have identified synergies across our customer and product base, and we share a vision about the power of professional development and business success. I’m very enthusiastic about the potential this acquisition presents to us both."
