Popular networking event, In The City, will be hosting its latest event on Thursday 19 May at the National Football Museum, in Manchester.

The next meeting will see speakers from Manchester-based firms, Fomissimo, UnifiedVU and TopicDNA take to the stage to talk about their businesses.

Attended by directors and professionals in technology, business and entrepreneurialism, the events aim to encourage members and guests to work together to not only improve their own business, but the local economy, education and social environments for young people and the cities in which they live.

Louis-James Davis, founder of the initiative and CEO of technology firm, VST Enterprises, comments: “Our vision for ‘In the City ‘ was to create a professional platform for experienced directors and entrepreneurial start-ups to come together, learn from one another and share relevant experiences, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

“The support we’ve received from businesses in Manchester has been overwhelming, particularly those partners we brought on board to promote the venture, including partners, directors and heads of the likes of KPMG, Microsoft, Santander, Hill Dickinson, Bermans and many more”

Louis-James Davis and director, Andy Giblin, of VST Enterprises launched ‘In The City ‘ following the development of their award winning and ground-breaking innovation, VCode. This revolutionary unique symbol identifier is a next generation alternative to traditional bar and QR codes.

Next week’s ‘In the City’ event will also feature speeches from the directors of recruitment specialists, Harvey Nash, Crowd Cube, the crowd funding platform and The Law Society, as well as being centre stage for a major announcement from Nicky Weller, sister of Paul Weller of The Jam fame, who will be unveiling an exciting new project.

Davis concludes: “With over 220 members and guests set to attend, including representatives from the BBC, Barclays, RBS, UBER, Sky Arts and Universal Music, this will be another night to remember for ‘In The City’.

“The success of our Manchester club has inspired us to take our initiative onto other major cities over the next few years to continue bringing our vision of ‘changing the world, one city at a time’ to life.” For further information on VST Enterprises or ‘In The City’ please visit www.VSTEnterprises.com or www.inthecityclub.com to download the VCode app, visit www.vcode.it
