One of Preston’s newest cafés has raised much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Ultimate Café, located within the recently established Ultimate Outdoors in Deepdale Shopping Park, donated its entire cake sale profits during the charity’s annual Coffee Morning.Whilst making a shopping pit stop, cake lovers gathered at the quirky venue, which has a reputation for it’s signature pancakes, to help support directors Nichola Lee and Andrea Edwards with their fundraising efforts.
Nichola said: “We are delighted to have raised both funds and awareness of such a meaningful charity. It was great to see so many people tucking into our homemade cakes and gluten-free variations, all for a good cause.”Ultimate Café was established earlier this year, following the success of the original independent Liverpool eatery and coffee shop, The Interesting Eating Company. Both venues serve an array of novel foods including pancakes, cakes, fresh soups, all day breakfasts and lunch, as well as gluten-free sweet and savoury snacks. Andrea added: “We would like to thank our customers for their support and charitable giving. We are extremely proud to have been a part of the world’s largest coffee morning – everyone who was involved certainly received the feel-good factor.”
