Local film, graphics and signage experts Lustalux have unveiled their latest project, Preston Market Hall – one of three recent projects manifesting the pride in their Preston heritage. The 19th century space’s grand opening last week added Preston Market Hall to Lustalux’s portfolio of iconic Preston building projects, alongside the city’s bus station and Harris Museum. Market hall traders welcomed their first customers to the refurbished, grade-two listed structure – now boasting an impressive glazed facade and interior, complete with glass manifestation incorporating the city’s lamb crest, etched window graphics and signage by Lustalux.

Lustalux director, Richard Lancaster, said: “As a company, we work all over the UK, but it’s always nice to be involved in projects on our own doorstep. Our home city of Preston boasts a fine architectural heritage and we’re honoured to have been tasked with some the city’s finest.”

Preston Bus Station, famous for its Brutalist style of architecture, also received the full Lustalux treatment during its recent renovation, including graphics, signage and window film, helping to bring the outdated building up to regulatory construction safety standards.

Lancaster explains: “It’s rewarding, not only to be part of the journeys of such iconic local buildings, but also that of the city itself, helping showcase Preston in its very best light – often quite literally!”
