A local engineer is celebrating 50 years as an employee of Barnoldswick based bedmaker Silentnight.
With a background in joinery, Bill started on the production line building divans. He then climbed the ranks over 50 years, going on to spend time as a foreman before moving into his current position as an engineer, driving product development.
“I’ve seen a lot of changes within the company over the years, with so many faces coming and going and of course big developments in terms of the machinery we use.
To mark the Bill’s loyalty to the company he was presented with a longstanding employee award surrounded by members of the Silentnight team.
