Altham-based plastic homewares and bakeware manufacturer What More UK is getting ready for a busy few months exhibiting at international trade shows.

Key sales staff from the company will be travelling from Birmingham to Frankfurt and onto Chicago in a period of intense sales activity in February and March.

What More UK director Tony Grimshaw commented: "We put a great deal of effort into our attendance at trade exhibitions, and in the first quarter of the year we have three key exhibitions for the homewares trade.

"Once back at work in January it was all systems go as we prepare for Spring Fair in Birmingham, Ambiente in Frankfurt, and the International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago.

"These major trade shows give us a platform to showcase the breadth of the What More product range. Attracting buyers from all around the world, they provide wonderful opportunities for us to reach out to our existing customers and to attract some new ones too."

Spring Fair, taking place in Birmingham between 5 and 9 February, is the UK's number one trade fair for the homewares and gift market attracting over 60,000 visitors. It's the show at which What More UK takes high numbers of large orders from customers across the UK and beyond.

What More UK has increased the size of its exhibition stand at the huge European homewares trade show Ambiente after eight years of attending the event, which takes place in Frankfurt. With over 4,800 exhibitors, Ambiente - from 10 to 14 February this year - attracts more than 134,000 buyers from over 150 countries, all keen to find the best trade suppliers for their retail businesses.

Then in mid March six What More staff will be Chicago-bound for the biggest housewares trade show in the world. This will be the second time the Lancashire business has attended the International Home & Housewares Show; after last year's hugely successful event the business began exporting to countries in South America, markets What More UK had long been interested in developing.

Since What More UK attended these key events in 2016, around 80 new products have been added to their ranges of plastic housewares, gardening, DIY products, cookware and bakeware.

Tony added: "There will certainly be plenty for retail buyers to come and see on the What More exhibition stands!"

What More UK is Britain's leading manufacturer of plastic housewares under the well-established Wham brand. The business has a portfolio of more than 700 products: plastic housewares, gardening and DIY products sold under the trusted and value-for-money Wham brand, and manufactured at their 500,000 square foot purpose-built facility in Altham, close to Burnley in Lancashire. In 2014 the business diversified into bakeware and today produces a range of Wham Cook non-stick and vitreous enamel bakeware at its purpose-built manufacturing facility. What More UK also owns the multiple award-winning PushPan brand bakeware range.
