Thompsons Contracts appointed to Sheffield United hotel project

Blackpool-based fit out and construction business Thompsons Contracts has been appointed as the principal contractor for the refurbishment of the Sheffield United Football Club Hotel. The hotel, located at the iconic Bramall Lane, is set to undergo significant renovations that promise to enhance its facilities and guest experience.

The 155-room hotel will feature a range of luxurious amenities upon completion, including a penthouse suite, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and versatile event space capable of accommodating up to 300 guests. This ambitious project underscores Thompsons Contracts’ growing reputation for delivering high-quality construction and fit-out services.

Thompsons Contracts bring a wealth of experience to the table, having previously worked on projects for Hilton Hotels. Once completed, the refurbished hotel will be branded as DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City, making it the third Hilton-branded property in the area. It will join the ranks of DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield Park and Hampton by Hilton Sheffield, further establishing Sheffield as a prime destination for both business and leisure travellers.
