Lucidity Watchdog

The Lucidity Window Launcher application now has the option of a watchdog. When activated the watchdog will check the database for which viewer applications should be open and close them if they are not in the database. This helps to prevent windows that inadvertently may not have closed, from causing issues, and therefore improves the overall reliability of the system and prevents system resources being utilised in dealing with any open windows.

Stream Deck Integration

We have developed an integration for the Elgato Stream Deck. The benefit of this integration is to provide operators with a cost-effective solution for their own option for changing on screen presets, or launching macros.

New browser option WebViewerEdge

The default web browser in use currently is a CEFSharp Chromium browser, which is built from source and lacks H264 support in later versions. The benefit of the new WebViewerEdge browser is it  incorporates Microsofts WebView2 package and has native video support.

Change wall layout changes

The Change Wall Layout tab, in the Lucidity Client, has had some changes to it’s user interface (UI). The “wall preview” option has now been replaced with Wall Control, this enables you to have keyboard and mouse control of the selected video wall from with the Lucidity Client. There is also an option for “Live Preview” so you can see the content on display when changing sources, making it easier for operators to know which windows they are changing. The benefit of all these changes is to provide operators and also maintenance personnel with a higher level of control of the video wall.

Javascript Injection

The WebViewer and WebViewerEdge applications both support Javascript Injection. The javascript entered on the source configuration tab, is injected at the point of the page navigation completion event i.e. when the page has loaded. This allows you to perform tasks such as complete text boxes and push buttons etc. The benefit of this new function is it makes it useful for automatically logging in to non 2FA (two factor authentication) web sources.

Window Tagging

You can now tag windows with specific references e.g. MainWindow. This is used by the chrome integration and the API for switching specific windows, without needing to know the window ID. The benefit is that operators who are reviewing a web site in Chrome, on one of their workstations, can launch that web page from within Chrome to the tagged window area (providing the Chrome extension has been activated on that workstation).

Chrome Integration

The chrome integration is used to launch presets on your Lucidity walls. You can also create new web sources within Lucidity, using the current page within your chrome browser, this utilises the window tag, to allow you to send the current page URL to the video wall. It will not create a copy of the existing session, but it will create a new web source with the URL matching the chrome URL. The benefits are another option for operators to quickly launch presets on the video wall and to quickly create a new Chrome web page source.

Window Frames

Windows Frames are now able to be applied to open viewer windows, not compatible with all Lucidity input cards currently but will be available for others in the next release. Windows Frames can be a single solid colour, of definable thickness, with an option for flashing. The benefit is this allows sources windows to have a flashing border for use in alarm functions.

Touch Panel

The Lucidity Touch Panel is a fully integrated android application, running on our POE 7” or 10” desk mounted devices. These are easily configurable within the Lucidity Client and require no programming knowledge, unlike other touch panel devices. Different layouts can be shown on touch panels and can be configurable to launch macros and presets. The benefit of the new touch panel and Lucidity touch panel app is a significantly reduced overall touch panel cost which is easy to programme.

ATEN KE IP KVM Control

Functionality has been added to Lucidity in both the Window Launcher and Change Content page, allowing customers to attach an ATEN KE Series IP Receiver to an input on the videowall. Using the change content page, operators can switch the attached transmitter being displayed on the video wall on the fly, from their list of ATEN receivers installed. The benefit is this increases the overall flexibility of the Lucidity system when an ATEN KE KVM is in use in the control room, providing a seamless integration for control.

Lucidity API Changes

There have been multiple commands added, with more scheduled, to incorporate new features. New commands such as SwitchWindowByTag, make it easier to provide VMS solutions to offer a follow me function for example. The benefit is this increases the flexibility for 3rd party system integrations.
