Following its final Phase 2 revamp, Burnley’s newest, exclusive wedding venue, The Landmark’s 1873 Wing, is now open to host your special day. Having spent over £2m in carefully and completely restoring the iconic former Burnley Grammar school, the venue is now preparing to host its first wedding fair.

On Saturday 18th June from 10am-3pm, The Landmark’s 1873 Wing will be open for ‘brides and grooms to be’ to come and discover the beautiful Grade II listed building in all its glory.

Visitors to the fair will also get the chance to win an amazing £1,000 off their wedding booking. Anyone attending the event who books their special day at The Landmark within 30 days will enter a raffle to win the fantastic prize, with all entrants who sign up within the timeframe set to receive the ‘Bath of Beer’ drinks package worth £300.

Also attending the fair will be a terrific range of suppliers including a bridal shop showcasing a display of wedding dresses, photographer, florist, make up & hair technician, cake maker, live band, room dresser, DJ, car hire, entertainer and videographer.

The exclusive, boutique venue which has availability in both 2022 and 2023, can cater from 35 to 80 guests for a seated wedding breakfast, and up to 150 guests for the evening reception, with on-site parking available.

The unique architecture of the building allows multiple, exclusive locations for people to celebrate their big day including fully private entrances, The Great Hall with its arched-braced open timber roof, The Old Library with views of St Peter’s Church and the stunning Atrium entrance, with its external glass lift, red carpet and unique stained glass windows.

There’s also plenty of beauty spots for those all importing wedding photos, with the stained glass windows, grand staircase and historical gardens all providing stunning backdrops.

Claire Rhodes, general manager at The Landmark, said: “This event has been a long time coming and we feel now is the perfect time to welcome the public into our event to show to them why we love it so much.

“There has been an awful lot of work put into this fascinating building and we are extremely proud of what it offers as a boutique and exclusive wedding venue.”

Vikki Boyd, events planner at The Landmark, commented: “We wanted to do something a bit special to celebrate our first ever wedding fair and we are delighted to be able to offer a £1,000 discount for one lucky winner.

“We are inviting anyone looking to get married in 2022 or 2023 to our wedding fair and we can’t wait to see your faces when you walk through the door.”

The 1873 Wing is Burnley’s newest event destination, hosting everything from live music to inspiring talks, as well as being a venue for all life’s celebrations including 21st Birthdays, christenings and private dining for large parties.
