The future is bright

Sundown

Sundown Solutions is a leading cloud transformation IT consultancy, specialising in delivering technology solutions including digital transformation, software solutions, cyber security and cloud computing to private and public sector organisations.

We’re just 13 years old, but already very successful and growing rapidly. In the last two years, we’ve gone from 12 members of staff to 73 – and we are looking to double that number again.

We are commited to our base in Hyndburn, and have remote workers all over the country.

Local recruitment is a high priority for us, and apprenticeships are a perfect way of training talent from within our company.

Working in cyber security and software development isn’t necessarily something taught in schools, so we have an in house academy where we take people with the right attitude and determination, and develop their industry knowledge.

To encourage people to consider technology as a career, we go into schools and give talks to inspire them and let them know that you don’t have to be techy to work in tech – the same skills of multi tasking and focus required to play on an Xbox are exactly what we need in the workplace!

We also take on career changers – although a large number of our staff are young, our roles can be filled by anyone with a wish to succeed and excel, and we provide technical skills training.

We also run a continual improvement programme that ensures our people are constantly developing new technical and professional skills, to service our customers to the highest level.

We’ve won awards for our work, we hold Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation and sit on the Crown Commercial Services Framework. We count the NHS, National Audit Office, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Bridgepoint Private Equity and Capita as clients.

With a growth trajectory like ours, and a committed programme of training our staff, with future is definitely bright for Sundown Solutions.

Breakout

Kelly-Ann Groves, chief operating officer and managing partner at Sundown, says: “Recruitment and training is incredibly important for us, as we need a pipeline of new talent to support our growth trajectory.

“We also reward and recognise the talent we have, with our new CTO being promoted from a Tier 3 position in less than a calendar year.

“It’s also very important to us to keep the family feel of the company as we grow, and to make sure our remote workers feel like part of the Sundown family.

“Here at Sundown we say – always forward!”
