Taylors' event hopes to raise £15k for BYZ

An ‘Evening of Glamour & Glitz’ being organised and hosted by commercial law firm, Taylors, on 6 February 2015 at the fabulous Stanley House, Mellor, is hoping to raise £15,000 in aid of Blackburn Youth Zone.

Elaine Hurn, managing partner at Taylors, said, “We have had an amazing response from the local business community who are really getting behind the event; we only have a few tables remaining and we only launched the event two weeks ago!

But we are still looking for local businesses to take a table and join us on the night. We’re also asking businesses if they would consider donating a prize for the charity auction and raffle which will make a huge difference to the monies we are able to raise on the night.

“The Youth Zone has already been a great catalyst in bringing our business community together and it’s great to see so many local business leaders really getting behind the event and coming together to enjoy what will be a night of celebration and entertainment with their customers, contacts, employees and friends – and all to raise funds for this worthy and important local cause”.

“Blackburn Youth Zone already has 35 loyal and dedicated patrons from Blackburn and East Lancashire’s business community, with many more businesses lending their support, so the local business community already knows just how important ongoing fundraising is for the charity.

In fact, half of BYZ’s running costs each year are funded by the local business community so supporting charity events organised by its corporate supporters is vital to the charity’s ongoing success. We set ourselves an ambitious fundraising target of £15,000 to help BYZ continue its great work with the town’s children and young people, and after such a great response, it’s looking as though we will be able to hit it – but we know we can’t do this without the support and generosity of the local business community”

Table are on sale at £750 plus vat (for ten), which will include a pre-dinner drinks reception, a delicious three course meal prepared by award-wining chefs, wine on the table and dancing until the early hours. If you are unable to attend the event, there is also the opportunity to support Taylors’ fundraising by donating a prize for the auction or raffle which will take place on the night. If you would like to book a table or donate a prize, please get in touch with Deborah Moon at Taylors on 01254 297936 or by email at [email protected]
