Taylor Patterson advisers celebrate Chartered status

Two directors from Taylor Patterson are celebrating their newly acquired status as Chartered Financial Planners.

Keith Pressler and James Thompson recently attended the official graduation ceremony hosted by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) at its headquarters in London. The pair accepted the ‘gold standard’ qualification, which is a testimony to their commitment to the industry and high standards delivered.

In order to obtain the prestigious title, Keith and James were each required to sit a series of exams and hold a minimum of five years’ relevant experience each. The status is above the standard required by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for the Retail Distribution Review (RDR), which came in to force in January 2013.

Keith Pressler said of his new title: “With the financial planning market becoming increasingly challenging, we wanted to ensure that, as both individual advisers and as part of the wider Taylor Patterson team, we are fully equipped to provide the best possible professional advice to our clients.”

Earlier this year, a third director at Taylor Patterson, Jason Street, also qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner to further boost our expertise. His graduation will take place in April next year.

Championing individual achievement, the title signals the attainment of qualifications and verifies the outstanding professional standards held by our company.” Currently only one in ten practicing financial advisers has attained the prestigious Chartered status.
