SymClean acquires Stu Lee

Darwen-based SymClean Industrial has acquired Norfolk-based cleaning company StuLee.

SymClean was established in 2014 by Tanya Targett and provides services across a range of sectors, including specialist cleaning services to the food production industry.

StuLee was founded in 2006 as a window-cleaning company, but soon extended services to general cleaning in the residential and commercial sectors.

Today it works with organisations across East Anglia, with clients ranging from schools and councils to major estate agents and holiday letting companies.

The acquisition of StuLee, which employs 180, will allow SymClean to continue its strategic growth plans across the UK and in particular, in the East Anglia region.

Tanya said: "StuLee is a well-structured business and it was clear from the beginning of our discussions their reputation, commitment and values aligned with ours.

"We have admired StuLee, as a leading commercial cleaning company for some time and their sustainable growth is a testament to the skill and dedication of their entire team."

Stuart Ford, seller of the business, said: "Since we established in 2006, I have been extremely proud of StuLee’s journey as a leading cleaning provider in Norfolk.

"This acquisition is evidence of the strength and hard work of our team and the business we have built. I will still be working in the business and I look forward to seeing the further development of StuLee under the SymClean Industrial brand."
