Sweet Dreams invests in expansion

The new storage facility will be built by Nelson’s Barnfield Construction and cements Sweet Dreams’ future in the town.

A Hot 100 regular, the company employs 180 staff and has had great success over the years manufacturing divans and mattresses.

This has been boosted in recent years by the firm’s choice to begin manufacturing its own sofas and chairs.

Previously, products had been stored at a separate location, but the expansion brings everything together in one site and will make operations much more efficient.

Work is expected to be completed at the Primrose Mill site by the end of the year. Managing director Riaz Ahmed said: “We’re looking forward to the completion of our new facility as the extra space is now essential to our operations.”
