Sunshine helps Glasgow take centre stage at Commonwealth Games

A Preston-based business has supplied traditional deck chairs for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Sunshine Events has provided more than 100 deck chairs and one giant deck chair for the Glasgow Green Live Zone.

Situated in the centre of Glasgow, the beautiful city park lies at the heart of the Games and is the go-to place to watch all the sport completely free. The opening ceremony was broadcast here to more than 25,000 local people and live festivities will be taking place including music, dance, comedy, craft and ceilidhs.

Live sport will also be coming to the park as the Marathon, Cycling Time Trial and Cycling Road Race start and finish here.

We have very strict delivery time slots due to security reasons and Sunshine Events were extremely accommodating. They were always able to change something at the very last minute, they were competitively priced and their portfolio of previous clients is highly reputable.”
