Studio brings Christmas joy to nurses at the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust

Nurses from the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT) has received a donation of selection boxes from Accrington-based online retailer Studio.

The Accrington-based online value retailer has been spreading joy throughout the community over the festive period, already donating to Carers Link Lancashire and the ARC project Blackburn, a charity providing support for asylum seekers and refugees in the Blackburn with Darwen Borough.

The selection boxes, delivered in conjunction with #AmazingAccrington, will be handed out to the amazing nurses who have once again worked tirelessly this year.

ELHT was established in 2003 and is a large integrated health care organisation providing high quality acute secondary healthcare for the people of East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen. They employ over 8,000 staff and treat over 700,000 patients a year.

Emma, community fundraiser at ELHT, said: “We can’t thank the team at Studio enough for their donation. A lot of our nurses are extremely busy over the Christmas period and it’s generosity like this which really does put a smile on our faces.”

Collette King, Human Resources Director of HR at Studio Retail, said: “It’s hard to put into words how amazing the nurses are at the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust and we wanted to do our little bit to say thank you for everything they do for the community.”
