Bolton-based Little Lever School enlisted the support of Stone Create to develop a new vibrant website that had the added capabilities of remote learning for over a thousand pupils.

Little Lever School‘s dedicated staff team work hard to ignite a desire to succeed in every child they teach, they aim to transform every child’s life and raise their aspirations.

The initial brief provided by the school was for a bright, easy to navigate website that offered staff an easy to use content management system and the ability to create new pages, news items and events whenever they needed to.

The school also wanted to further support their student’s learning with an enhanced remote learning offer.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic rapidly unfolding the Stone Create team adapted and advanced the programme of work in order to finish the project ahead of the initial deadline.

Liz Clark, head of marketing at Stone Create, said: “In the final weeks of the Little Lever website build process, it became critical that we completed the project ahead of deadline due to the unfolding coronavirus pandemic. In addition to this, we were able to work reactively with the school, to not only complete the initial project, but also by adapting website functionality to allow students access to their online schoolwork quickly and easily from home.”

The new website provides the team at Little lever School with the tools to manage the content internally and do away with the rigid platform they were previously confined to.

Features of the new website include:

Re-design of the website with a bright and colourful template to reflect the attitude of the school. User-friendly layouts to help with ease and speed of finding the correct information, dependant on year group and subject. Easy to navigate with Google classroom access highlighted. Homework Hub created for students and parents to login securely to access appropriate homework. Parents’ Portal added to provide up-to-date and accurate key information, latest news and year group assessments. Leaning Zone that is easy to navigate and use by students and parents alike. Control and management of the website in the hands of the school.

Little Lever School chose to work with Stone Create as they wanted a local marketing company that would understand their needs and deliver faultlessly on time and on budget.

Principal at Little Liver School, Dominic Mckeon said: ‘Stone Create created exactly what we wanted. Our website is now a fantastic tool to interact with all our stakeholders! It has given us the ability to engage parents and students in a way we didn’t think was possible. The most pleasing thing for me is the website encompasses our core purpose. It gives you a flavour of what our organisation is all about! Our engagement rates have gone through the roof. We are averaging 8.5k hits a week at the moment! It’s been fantastic!”

John Adamopolous, operations director at Little Lever School added: “Stone Create enabled us to reach out to our students and parents at a time they needed us the most. We are delighted with the visually engaging website and are now able to manage it effortlessly ourselves. It’s so easy to update and add content, which means we can offer our students the best support possible. Can’t thank them enough for excellent service and fast turnaround.”
