Burscough-based YuBi Bar has sold more than 1.25 million of its vegan protein bars since launching operations in November 2022.
The plant-based products are gluten-free, kosher, non-GMO verified, low in sugar, low in calories and high in protein. The products are also priced affordably.
YuBi Bar, a family-owned business, says it has more than doubled its sales targets in its first year, helped by securing contracts with some national retailers.
Daniel Mroczak, brand manager, said: "We’ve been blown away by the overwhelmingly positive response that YuBi Bar has received.
“When we originally launched in November 2022, we set ourselves, what felt like at the time, a very ambitious goal of selling more than half a million protein bars in our first year. The fact that we’ve not only surpassed that target but are now two and a half times further on from that goal is an achievement that goes far beyond our wildest dreams.
“We’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing retailers over the last 12 months. Not least Home Bargains, who have supported YuBi Bar virtually from day one, after picking up our products within a month of launching. That’s made a huge difference in terms of bringing YuBi Bar to the attention of the widest possible audience nationwide."
YuBi Bar also generates its own energy, and is self-sufficient thanks to its investment in solar panels, and is a Zero to Landfill manufacturers, with all waste byproducts either recycled or turned into animal feed.
