Spencer Clarke Group attends glittering recruiter awards

Spencer Clarke Group, a Preston based recruitment agency attended the prestigious Recruiter Awards on Thursday after being shortlisted in the Best New Agency category. 

Held at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London, the Recruiter Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements by agencies and in-house recruiters and to drive standards of excellence even higher.  

Before the awards commenced, guests were welcomed to a drinks reception and a stunning three-course evening meal with entertainment from the host, comedian Joel Dommett. 

Spencer Clarke Group narrowly missed out in the Best New Agency category with the accolade going to Impala Search at Thursday's glittering awards ceremony. 

With an extensive background in recruitment, managing director Mike Shorrock, partnering with director Michael Spencer, took a leap of faith and opened the Spencer Clarke Group doors for the very first time in 2017.

In just four short years, Spencer Clarke Group has gone from strength to strength and currently employs a 20 strong team at its modern and vibrant office at Bartle Court Business Centre, Preston.  

Spencer Clarke Group specialises in a range of key disciplines within both the public and private sectors, offering permanent, temporary, contract and fixed term career opportunities. 

“Despite not winning on this occasion, we’re still extremely proud to have been shortlisted in this category. It is testament to the hard work, commitment and determination which everyone has put in since we launched,” said Mike Shorrock, managing director of Spencer Clarke Group.

Shorrock continued, “All the agencies shortlisted, whether they won or lost, have done a fantastic job in such unusual circumstances over the last 18 months but we would like to send our congratulations to the Impala Search team.”
