Speakers have been announced for the Lancashire Net Zero Carbon Conference 2025.
The event hosted by Lancashire Business View is in its third year and will take place on Wednesday 18 June at Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort.
It will bring together professionals from public and private sectors to talk about the challenge of businesses transitioning to a low-carbon economy.
Among the speakers are: Helen Seagrave, local power director of GB Energy and Charles Wood, deputy director of policy at Energy UK.
GB Energy, also known as Great British Energy, is a publicly owned, clean-energy company and it will own, manage and operate clean power projects, such as wind farms, up and down the country.
Energy UK is the trade association for the energy industry, representing companies investing billions of pounds to secure our country’s current and future energy needs.
Also speaking will be: Michael Dugdale, managing director of Trident Utilities; Ged Ennis, director of Low Carbon Energy, David Heap, managing director of Vital Heating Solutions; Kieron Mitton, EV infrastructure officer at Lancashire County Council; Peter Rowe, development manager of Cubico; and Steve Wood, CEO of Fylde Coast Energy.
Richard Slater, chairman of Lancashire Business View, said: “We’re delighted to have such a great line-up of speakers confirmed for the event and more will follow.
“This isn’t just a conference – it’s a catalyst.
“Businesses in Lancashire are ambitious and we hope that with the right knowledge, tools, networks and confidence they can take the next steps to transitioning to a low-carbon economy. That’s what this event is all about.”
The key themes of the event include:
- wind power and is it the right fit for Lancashire,
- myth busting net zero initiatives,
- green skills and jobs and
- funding the green transition examining whether funding is going to the right places
The event is in association with Low Carbon Energy, Trident Utilities and Vital Heating Solutions.
