Solomon Commercials has completed work on its factory on the Carrs Industrial Estate in Haslingden to meet the growing demand for maintenance and repair services for temperature-controlled vehicles.
Construction work has now been completed on the 20,000 sq. ft; and fitted out with new machinery that aims to increase capacity and streamline its operations.
It will be the firm’s home of its repair and maintenance arm, Bodyguard Service, and Solomon’s technical and engineering team while also being the central hub of its temperature panel van manufacturing.
Solomon Commercials’ managing director, Anthony Clegg, said: “The new build offers Solomon Commercials an opportunity to re-evaluate our production processes, invest in new machinery and design new working practices to increase efficiencies.
"The new facility marks a significant step forward in Solomon BodyGuard’s growth, driven by rising demand for responsive fleet maintenance services.
“In addition, as part of our commitment to streamlining operations and enhancing the customer experience, BodyGuard has also launched a new online parts portal, which allows customers to easily order parts tailored to their fleet’s needs and track deliveries supported by our dedicated customer service team.”
Solomon BodyGuard’s head of aftersales, Harrison Barlow, added: “ More and more customers are seeing the value in regular maintenance and prompt repairs as an essential part of the broader Solomon Commercials service.
"Increasing the lifespan of their vehicles with repair and maintenance to maintain compliance measures minimises their fleet downtime and increases product safety and ultimately customer satisfaction.”
