Representatives from more than 100 Lancashire businesses benefited from a free seminar to help them stay up to date with the latest online marketing techniques to help them compete.

Attendees at the Woodlands Centre in Chorley learnt how to make the most of LinkedIn and Twitter to make useful contacts and engage with clients to improve image, reputation and increase sales.
Guest speaker Liz Cable, from Reach Further, followed the seminar with a workshop where 11 of the attending businesses received direct advice on what they can do to increase the number of customers that follow them on Twitter.

The event was arranged by the Lancashire Innovation Network (LIN), a service provided by Accrington based Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.

Eric Kos owner of Plus Safety Health and Safety Consultants in Chorley, one of the businessmen that attended the event, said: “The seminar and workshop provided by Liz and LIN was fantastic. We offer online training and reach customers through the internet, so it is absolutely essential that we stay up to date with our online marketing. I will certainly be integrating what I learnt into our business strategies and it will no doubt benefit my business.”

Steve Hoyle, managing director of Regenerate said: “It’s fantastic that so many businesses were able to attend, from all over the county. By encouraging innovative thought and ensuring businesses in Lancashire are aware of the latest ways they can promote their services, we help them compete with others across the UK.”
