Slingco invests in the future

Last year marked a giant leap of faith for Slingco as they moved to their new purpose-built 32,000 sqft premises in the heart of Rossendale in May 2021. Part of the business’s pledge and commitment was to create an environment that would facilitate investment in innovation, their people and the development of new products at a pace never seen before.

In the last three months of 2021 alone, they added seven new employees to the team, bolstering their engineering, IT and purchasing teams and started formal training qualifications in areas such as manufacturing operations, business improvement, lean methodology, warehouse operation, business administration, team leadership and internal auditing and were delighted to make a number of promotions within the teams.

In the last six months they have designed and produced hundreds of new products for the energy, industrial and construction markets.

With 2022 off to a flying start, recording their best ever month in business, across the UK, USA and sister company, Thurra (Engineering Inspections), they are poised for further growth and expansion through 2022. There are some exciting new appointments, territories and product launches on the horizon.

Nick Dykins, managing director, reported: “Although the timing of our major investment in the new facility came at an uncertain time due to the pandemic, the strength of our team, their focus and sheer determination to plough forwards has paid off. We pledged 26% growth year-on-year and we are bang on target to achieving this."
